The Packs of Love Foundation, Inc was originally founded in 2022 and officially  became a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization in December of 2023!

My journey toward creating Packs of Love began with a deep commitment to serving my community. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Bethune-Cookman University and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University. During my time in school, I made a promise to myself that once I finished my education, I would return home and find a meaningful way to give back.

 

That opportunity came when I served as a Dependency Case Manager in Hillsborough County, Florida. Over the course of two years, I worked closely with children in the foster care system and witnessed firsthand the challenges many displaced youth face while navigating the system. Through those experiences, I recognized a  need for greater support, stability, and advocacy for youth in foster care. ​​​

The Packs of Love Foundation is so much deeper than what people see on the surface. Our work comes from my heart and from a desire to stand up for children in the foster care system who are too often misunderstood, overlooked, or counted out.

I take pride in being their advocate and helping to create space where their voices are heard and their needs are met.

I am filled with gratitude for how far The Packs of Love Foundation, Inc has come and for the community that continues to surround and support our work. Sometimes, I am still amazed that POL started from just an ex-social worker wanting to make a change.​ I love passion driven work  and overall, I let my passion guide me to make change and be a voice to those who need it most. I am so thankful for our team, and the community for helping us make a lasting impact!
